A perfectly placed tablescape is the secret to making your event look like a professional had a hand in putting it together. Heights, shapes, textures…variety is essential. You can easily work within your event’s colour palette, opting for a monochromatic bridal white or an array of colours to match your corporate brand. What I love most about tablescapes is how personal they can be, with no two events looking similar. These elegant table setting ideas below are proof of that.
Statement Centerpieces
We may be biased, but round tables with large centerpieces may be our favourite. A centerpiece will speak for itself, providing such a large visual impact from one item on your table setting. Little else is needed in terms of décor. The compote vase also adds its own personality to the table.
In this centerpiece from Brooklyn and Tyler’s wedding, the peachy flowers match the salmon napkins, and the brass vase adds a touch of rusticness.

Fresh Greenery
When in doubt, adding more flowers and candles to a table creates a stunning display. Fresh greenery is the easiest way to liven up the table, adding physical and visual texture. It works especially well for long, rectangular tables. Greenery often comes at a lower cost than flowers, making it ideal for the budget-savvy host. Eucalyptus is a popular option, but jasmine vine is another great choice for a touch more whimsy.
Bud Vases
Bud vases utilize just a few flowers and can cover a large portion of your table. Sprinkle them along a rectangular table or group them together in circular tables. Use vases with varying heights, filling them with a variety of flowers. It feels loose and effortless in the best way.
Amanda and Taylor utilized bud vases to the fullest at their wedding, pairing them beautifully with tall candlesticks. I love how much personality the patterned tablecloth brings, alongside the table "numbers" marked by places the couple had travelled together.

Rustic Table
Sometimes, less is more! When you’re working with a nice wood or stone table, you don’t even need a tablecloth. The bare wood beneath feels clean and creates its own visual appeal. For rustic venues, such as a barn or garden, embrace the nature around you. Add layers with place mats, plates, and napkins to break things up visually. And don’t forget the candles for height and greenery!
White and Gold
White and gold is a classic combination we see time and time again. It just never goes out of style! Chiara and Bret’s wedding pictured below is the perfect example. They layered plates with gold rimmed chargers. The edges of the chargers, plus the candles and glassware, create some nice texture.
For this wedding, we did baby's breath and rose centerpieces, an easy way to fill in lots of space with few ingredients. There are many white flowers to choose from, and of course, it's very bridal.

A Pop of Colour
Harty and Daniel’s wedding had the most beautiful colour palette. They worked with warm colours, including a mustard fabric runner, peach dinner menus, and pink linen napkins. It creates a playful and relaxed look that still looks elegant. Having the white tablecloth as a base sets up the colour for nice contrast. A few bud vases are all you need when the linens are already providing so much colour.

Max Height
This table setting comes from a winter wedding, and as you can see, they did everything with their own flair and style. It was truly magical. The standout in this setting is, of course, the tall flower arrangements. The height alone gives a wow factor, and has a hidden bonus: no line of sight is blocked when guests sit down. The candles lit below offer a warm glow, perfect for warming up a snowy evening. This would also be a great setup for a corporate Christmas party.
The theme among all these elegant table setting ideas? Flowers! Without flowers or greenery, the table setting would feel lacking. Just a few sprigs are all that’s needed to really elevate your tablescape. All of these photos include flowers from Heirloom Florals, so if something here has scratched that table setting itch, feel free to reach out to us and tell us about your wedding or event.
